Brasilata is once again amongst the 150 Best Companies to Work For, according to the survey by VOCÊ S/A, recognition that points to the company's continuous quality in people management and positive organizational climate. However, in 2018, Brasilata went even further by winning the top award in the Packaging Manufacturers category, that is, the 1st place in the Brazilian ranking of companies to work for in the packaging sector.

The award is the result of a 10-month work of the respected VOCÊ S/A publication and of Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA), responsible for the methodology of the Best Companies survey. The evaluation basically consists of what the company offers to the employees and, on the other hand, what the employees say about the company. Among the criteria are Strategic Management and Objectives, Leadership, Recognition and Reward, Career, Knowledge Management and Corporate Management, Internal Communication, Participation and Autonomy, Interpersonal Relations, Processes and Organization, Health, Safety and Quality of Life at Work, Sustainability and Diversity, and Employer Branding. The composition of all these criteria results in the Happiness at Work Index (IFT), which is the comparison factor between companies.

People and the internal climate of their satisfaction have always been important at Brasilata. Tiago Forte, CEO of the company for 4 years, says: “It was not due to chance, even with all these generational and behavioral changes, we managed to maintain and improve our position in the ranking. Being amongst the best is one of the goals of our strategic planning and is an indicator that demonstrates that we know how to adapt and be at the forefront of people management, even in such challenging times”.

The company works with an open channel of communication with its employees who are recognized as inventors, not just task performers. This transformation stimulates, captures and implements ideas from inventors, in addition to boosting the innovation process that is so strong within the company.

In the opinion of Fabio Ito, main executive in the area of people management at Brasilata, more than receiving the award and being amongst the biggest and best companies, it is knowing that the path is right. “This recognition is proof that our actions and efforts are being perceived and valued by our inventors”, comments Ito, emphasizing that the achievement is due to a number of factors, mainly the learning obtained in the previous years in which the company remained amongst the Top 150. The executive reinforces that the concern to maintain a good organizational climate has always been present in the board's decisions and, therefore, training, recognition and reward programs have always been maintained and improved, as well as internal marketing actions. In addition, Ito says that for more than 30 years Brasilata has promoted participatory management with the help of the Projeto Simplificação, in which each inventor can contribute with suggestions, criticisms and complaints. “Despite the economic crisis that hit all industrial segments, Brasilata has never stopped investing in its people, whether to train them, meet specific needs or even to make the work environment more pleasant and safe to carry out its activities”, mentions.

Brasilata has participated in the Guide from VOCÊ S/A for 18 years, and since 2007, it has been highlighted with 15 awards, 12 of which were consecutive. The awards for this 2018 edition took place in November, in São Paulo’s capital city.
