New closures modernize the line of 18 and 20 liter pails featuring removable lids

The new mechanical lock closure provides many more advantages and successfully replaces the conventional lug cover. The Plus pail developed by Brasilata is increasingly earning the preference of the Brazilian market for industrial paints.

By eliminating the lug cover that can cut and pose a hazard to the user, the Plus Pail provides a much simpler and quicker way to open the container and all you need is a screwdriver. Additionally, the Plus Pail prevents product violation due to its tamper evident concept, which makes evident the first opening and also remains resistant even after repeated opening and closing operations.

The Plus Pail also provides greater productivity on the paint industry production lines, since it enables the use of simple piston or roller systems in the filling lines and does not require the use of costly special equipment needed for conventional lug type closures.

The Plus Pail is the sales leader and a success in the industrial paint sector in Brazil. Its innovative concept has earned it the Brazilian Packaging Award in 2002 in the Technology category.

Successful partnership

The innovative Biplus technology and the new closure have arrived on the market to revolutionize the paint and varnish pail sector. The innovation was developed to meet customer demand for customized containers required for industrial colored paints tinted using mix machines and this was the solution adopted at Sayerlack, which was already using the Plus Pail for solvent base industrial products.

Renner Sayerlack S/A is engaged in the wood furniture and objects market and has adopted the Brasilata Plus and Biplus pails for industrial paints. “The quality and greater resistance to impact that the Brasilata Plus pails offer comprise an important leading edge,” stated Marcelo Cenacchi, Chief Executive Officer of Sayerlack-SP. The conventional lug cover caused storage problems when exporting to the United States, Canada and some countries in Europe, but the Plus containers have solved this problem.

“The new Biplus Pail has enabled us to simplify operations and increase productivity in relation to the addition of pigments and concentrates,” commented Cenacchi. In addition to the plant located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, Renner Sayerlack also has operations in Mexico and Italy.
