Brasilata produces 300 ml can Mix Biplus (Tira Teima) for Tintas Coral

New container encourages consumers to test new exclusive colors

Brasilata to meet the strategic marketing plan of its customer and paint manufacturer, Tintas Coral, has developed a new product that simplifies consumer color choices. The small Mix Biplus 300 ml can, christened the “Tira Teima” in Portuguese or “Don’t be stubborn” by Tintas Coral, contains enough paint to cover one square meter of surface and was introduced at the 7th International São Paulo Architecture Biennial Fair which was held from November 10 to December 16 at the Ibirapuera Park.

A study conducted by Tintas Coral showed that nearly half (45%) of the paint sold in Brazil is white. To encourage use of customized colors and help the consumer choose their preferred colors with assurance, the new product “Tira Teima” has been introduced on the market and is available in over 2,000 colors. According to Tintas Coral Product Manager, Renato Panzuto, this is the only test that faithfully matches the thousands of color options available in the mix machine system Coral color palette.

Investments of R$ 1.3 million were made in “Tira Teima” for the purpose of helping the consumer choose, match and paint with colors. In addition to the introduction made at the Architecture Biennial, samples of “Tira Teima” will be distributed at paint stores and home centers in São Paulo.

Can resulting from a special project

The Brasilata technical team developed details that add value to the steel can to manufacture this container according to specifications that meet the needs of the company, Tintas Coral.

The new container features the award winning Biplus closure system and presents other distinctions as well such as:

- New plastic lid format adjusted to the sealing system to prevent oxygen from entering, assuring the quality of the paint throughout the entire useful life of the product.

- Adaptation of the Biplus closure system ensures complete container sealing even after repeated opening and closing operations.

- The 300 ml Biplus can is appropriate for use with the paint mix machine system because the transparent plastic lid enables the consumer to visualize the color chosen.

- These features translate in lower costs to the consumer and simplify choosing colors safely enabling them to be conveniently tested thereby preventing waste.
